BOH Amends Seafood Market Rules

At the Board of Health Meeting on March 23, 2012, the Dare County Board of Health voted to amend the current rules governing the Operation of Seafood Markets in Dare County, North Carolina. The new rules will expand the current rules to allow the sale of seafood at temporary locations. The new rules will be effective May 23, 2012.

The Board of Health has the authority and responsibility to adopt rules to protect the health of the public as set forth in Chapter 130A, Section 45.3, of the North Carolina General Statutes. Any individual who violates said rules shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to the sanctions provided in Chapter 130A, Section 25, of the North Carolina General Statutes.
